Peace First

Why Travelers Pick This Quiet Corner of Goodwater

Race weekends at Talladega bring crowds, noise, and traffic. After a day like that, you want a spot where you can actually hear crickets instead of generators. Our 25 sites sit on a quiet county road away from highway noise and busy intersections. We planned the layout so sites have space between them, not packed in tight like a parking lot. Sound travels differently outdoors depending on distance, trees, and ground cover. This is part of why spacing and natural buffers matter so much for a calm stay.[1] Guests heading to Lake Martin or Talladega National Forest choose us because they want quiet nights, not a crowded lot next to the interstate. We built this park with that kind of guest in mind.

Love This Place!! My wife found the park online and when we checked it out, we knew this would be home. Quiet country living, underground utilities and walking trails makes my wife extremely happy. Less than 10 minutes to local stores and only 20 minutes to Alex City. We're so happy to call this place Home.

Common Questions

Quiet RV Resort Questions

Here are answers to what guests ask us most about staying here.

  • How much does a quiet RV site cost in Goodwater?

Nightly rates run from about $30 to $60 depending on site size. Monthly rates are discounted and include utilities. Race weekends can push prices up a bit due to demand.

  • How long can I stay at the RV resort?

You can stay one night or several months, it's up to you. Many guests book monthly during the slower winter season. Others just stop for a night passing through on US-231.

  • Is it better to book ahead or just show up?

Booking ahead is always smarter, especially around Talladega race weekends. We're open 24 hours, so walk-ins happen, but sites fill fast during busy season. A quick call ahead saves you a wasted drive.

  • How is this different from campgrounds near Lake Mitchell?

Most lake campgrounds get crowded during peak summer season. We sit on a quiet county road away from that traffic. You get the same access to nature without the noise.

  • How fast do sites fill up during race weekends?

Talladega race weekends fill sites within an hour's drive fast. We recommend calling at least a week ahead for spring and fall race dates. Last minute calls sometimes work, but it's a gamble.

  • What signs mean a campground won't actually be quiet?

Watch for sites packed tight with no space between rigs. Also check if the park sits right off a busy highway. We built our layout to avoid both of those problems.

  • Can I bring my pet to the quiet resort?

Yes, we're pet friendly and welcome well-behaved pets at every site. Many guests bring dogs for walks on our nature trails. Just keep pets leashed near the community fire pit area.
